Arlington Estate Wedding Videography Toronto | Sasha + Peter

How gorgeous is this couple? And we’re not just talking about Sasha in her dress. Peter looked handsome in his suit and we were blown away by their personalities. Fun loving, sincere and ready to wear their hearts on their sleeves. From their speeches, to their vows, the incredible decor and a rocking party, this Arlington Estate wedding had it all.

MARK!  This video is PERFECT! You and your team captured and created the most spectacular video. A perfect video for the perfect day. I could not be more pleased with the end result. Thank you for all your time effort and creativity. We will treasure this video for the entirety of our lives! I’ve already watched it about sixteen times and my day just started here in Russia. ” – Sasha (and Peter)

Sasha + Peter’s Arlington Estate Wedding Film

We started with Peter’s speech because we loved the way he painted a picture of their relationship. These are the kind of stories we love. Little snippets that tell us so much about the “who”. We’re all about personality. We think showing that off is the key to making great wedding films, so when we get a great speech like Peter’s, we put it front and centre.

Peter is a pro hockey player, about to make the move to Russia. This wasn’t just a wedding, but an event which allowed Sasha and Peter to celebrate with friends and family before making a big move. It made Peter’s speech all the more pertitent.

“No matter where we have been, or how far away from our actual  home we are, being with you is where I’m supposed to be. That and therefor you will always be something worth fighting for”

There are so many great moments that stand out for us when we watch back through Sasha and Peter’s film. The “patented” run and jump is one. But we also adore the loving glances they make towards each other and those glimpses of laughter during the first dance. Sasha and Peter clearly balance romance, fun and humour. All summed up with those heartfelt speeches and vows.

Who Doesn’t Love a Hora?

This was definitely a big family celebration. We think those shots of the hora perfectly illustrate how much this was a group that loved to party. Dancing wasn’t reserved for just the evening. Guests were up and out of their seats multiple times throughout the reception.

Both sets of parents and siblings gave super emotional speeches. We just wish we could have included them all! We find speeches to be so important at weddings. While we love including personal vows and letters from the couple, having that outside perspective gives us another angle to work with.

4 Reasons to Have an Arlington Estate Wedding

We’ve filmed at the Arlington Estate before. In fact you can check out Tara + Shayan’s film HERE. It really is a fantastic venue and we’d love to let you know why:

the Arlington estate aerial shot by kismet creative wedding films

1) The Arlington Estate is in a great location, out of the city, close to the town of Kleinberg. It’s only a 40 minute drive away from downtown Toronto, has tons of space for parking and open grounds for wondering around.

2) The layout of Arlington Estate is super convenient for a single-venue wedding. There’s a cute little bridal suite and reception rooms that can be divided or opened up. Guests can enter the venue through the main entrance or go directly to the lawn, if the ceremony is outside. For cocktail hour there’s a lovely open balcony from which guests can look over the grounds and perhaps give a shout out to the couple during their photoshoot!

3) Speaking of….. the grounds are large enough to allow for multiple set-ups for the portrait shoot, yet small enough to be able to get it all done in a short amount of time. We only had 30-40 minutes for Sasha and Peter’s portrait session, but you can see for yourself how many great sequences we were able to capture. There’s also lots of variety with the fountain, willow tree and glass doors.

4) Sasha and Peter were married on a super humid day in the middle of July. The forecast predicted heavy rain and so the ceremony was moved in doors. Luckily the Arlington Estate has nice open rooms meaning your backup plan doesn’t have to be so “back up”. You’ll have plenty of room for all your guests and your vendors will have the opportunity to decorate to your taste.

Some of Toronto’s Best Wedding Vendors

We were privileged to work with some of Toronto’s best wedding vendors. Sasha and Peter were referred to us by Kiera of Melissa Baum Events who did such an incredible job bringing everything together. She made the day super easy for us too! Speaking of making the day easy, we’d love to mention Stephanie from Mango Studios who was an absolute pleasure to shoot along side. Super friendly and talented. As always, Jeremy from All You Need is Love conducted a beautiful ceremony with humour and warmth.

How amazing do the decor and flowers by Rachel A Clingen Wedding & Event Design. The candlelit reception with elegant florals was something out of a bridal magazine. And of course, the bride and her bridal party who were magnificently dolled up by Jeannie Pulice (bride), Anne Blumenthal & Brixton Parlour (bridesmaids).  Detailz Couture  provided the furniture while Kimberly Erin Calligraphy + Design topped everything off with their beautiful stationary.

Parties don’t just happen, especially one’s where the guests dance throughout the reception and late into the night. DJ Michael Coombs kept things rocking while BB Blanc provided the A/V. The Photo Booth by Hot Shotz gave guest the opportunity to walk away from the night with a perfect little momento from an incredible night.
