  • Liberty Grand Wedding Video Toronto | Mike + Nabeela Feature Film

  • We've already written quite a bit about Mike and Nabeela's Liberty Grand Wedding HERE. As much fun as we have putting together Same Day Edits there really is no substitute for a well-put together Cinematic Film. We get to show so much more and reflect the dynamic nature of the day. This is why we always recommend Same Day Edits as an addition, rather than the main focus of a wedding film collection. They're a compliment to the entertainment of the day. But a really good Wedding Film, with time and thought put into it, is a true keepsake that you'll treasure for the rest of your lives.  Expanded Story Telling Although we filmed interviews as part of the Same Day Edit, we still wanted them to form a significant part of the main film. The way they talk about the early stages of their relationship sets the tone for their "togetherness". When we're able to get nice candid interviews [...]
  • South Asian Wedding Film Toronto | Palais Royale and The Gardiner Museum | Amit + Mona

  • This wedding was HOT! Oh my, I think we were hitting 40 degrees at the end of June this year. Despite us spending much of the day by the lake, there was little respite from the humidity. I’m sure you’ll believe me when I say that a LOT of sweat went into making this film! But boy, was it worth it.  The Importance of Crafting a Narrative There are times where you just have to go that extra 10% and make sure you’re creating something special. When we met, Mona and Amit told me of their plan to write letters to each other. We talked about whether they would read them during their prep or as a part of their photo shoot. But being visitors to Toronto, running around in the week up to their wedding, writing letters in time for the big day proved a task too far.  But we’re not ones to let go. You can see from our work how important an audio narrative is to us. It forms the back[...]
  • Los Cabos Wedding Film | Sandos Finisterra Destination Wedding, Los Cabos, Mexico | Tasha + Ben

  • This Los Cabos wedding (Cabos San Lucas specifically) is one of our favourite Destination Wedding Films. Tasha and Ben came to us through a network of friends in Vancouver. I think we’ve probably shot 4 or 5 weddings for various acquaintances of theirs! So we kinda knew what we were getting. Fun loving, easy going people. I really feel that this wedding video does a good job of summing up the vibe of the day. From morning to night, these guys just had FUN! I got to film smiling faced all day long, enjoy a cocktail or two and hang out with truly great people.  Thank you guys, you showed me a good time and gave me so much material to work with to make this film. Please please please don’t run out of friends who want to get married!  The Venue: Sandos Finiesterra, Cabos San Lucas, Mexico Just look at this place! Just a short walk from the lively town of Cabo San Lucas, Sandos F[...]
  • Shangri-La Toronto Wedding Film | Toronto Wedding Cinematography | Monica + Garros

  • Filming Weddings in Toronto has its challenges. Like Parking. But it also has its rewards. Like being spoilt for choice for awesome downtown locations. I think we hit 5 or 6 spots in the space of about 90 minutes during their photoshoot! University Avenue, Campbell House and Osgoode Hall to name a few. I love how it makes it feel like Monica and Garros have been on a little journey throughout their day.  Smiley Happy People Being March, we fully hit the jackpot weather wise. Look at that blue sky! (OK, it didn’t last all day, but we got more than we could expect).  We also lucked out with a super energetic couple and bridal party. I’ve never seen a set of groomsmen get so into group photos. We had “Let get suits”, the “Octopus” and “West Side Story-click-your fingers” within just a few minutes. Please feel free to ask for an explanation…. Monica and Garros are definitely hap[...]
  • Alberta Wedding Videography | Banff, Canmore + Lake Louise Lodge | Tricia + Ryan

  • When I watch Tricia and Ryan’s Alberta Wedding Video in the Rocky Mountains, its not the ceremony, photoshoot or reception that I think of. My memory is immediately drawn to the first couple of hours when we met two bubbly personalities in a car park before heading out for a little excursion. Being a destination wedding we were there for a few days, so took the opportunity to shoot some extra footage the day before. We hopped in Ryan’s truck and let them take us up into the mountains.  An Inspiring Pre-Shoot I love these extra shoots right before weddings. Its a time when we can get to know a couple on a deeper level and let them bring us into their own world. Tricia and Ryan took as to a place we would never go other wise. Several kilometres up a dirt track to one of the most beautiful mountain scenes I have witnessed. It’s a place familiar to these guys and somewhere they were [...]
  • Toronto Wedding Cinematography | The Omni King Edward Hotel | St. Michael's Cathedral Basilica | Erica + Ryan

  • Wedding Cinematography is so much easier when you film a day filled with style, elegance and emotion. I think thats the best way to sum up Erica and Ryans amazing day in downtown Toronto.  They put so much effort into their wedding and allowed themselves to be truly in the moment. This was a day filled with so much love, support and most importantly, family.   Heartfelt Letters I think my favourite part of this Wedding Film is Erica and Ryan's letters to each other. It just opens the door on their relationship and hearing the personal thoughts of someone before they're about to walk down the aisle is a special moment. Their words reflect true happiness, comfort and love. Hearing how they felt when they met, how they live and how they feel as they're about to embark on a new chapter in their lives really gives you the feels. You get to understand what its like to be in their relati[...]
  • Kelowna Wedding Videographer | Gellatty Nut Farm & The Cove Lakeside Resort | Rachel + Wes

  • I love these guys’ energy! From the first beat of the music, the party started the dance floor was packed. It was so much fun to be present at Wes and Rachels' Kelowna Wedding. We spent the whole day being surrounded by guests, young and old, letting lose and celebrating the occasion.  Wedding Trailer + A Feature Film! Wes is a tech and video enthusiast. So it only made sense that he and Rachel wanted to go “all in” for their Wedding films. That meant, 4K delivery, a feature film, a trailer and documentary edit. What I love about putting together multiple videos is having the freedom to emphasize different flavours of the experience.  When it came to editing the trailer, we felt that we really needed to emphasize the single biggest take-away from the wedding. And as indicated above, that would be the ridiculous good-feeling, fun loving, happy nature of the day. But most of[...]
  • Painted Rock Winery | Penticton Lakeside Resort | Wedding Videography Penticton BC | Taryn + Mike

  • This is one of those weddings where EVERYTHING comes together and I get the opportunity to create something that I feel hugely proud of. We have an amazing venue (Painted Rock Winery), beautiful decor (thank you Vintage Origami), the best shooting partners (Blush Photography), diffused lighting (thank you BC Wildfires) but most importantly a couple who were so down to put their all into helping us make the best film possible.  A Chance Meeting at the Drake Hotel, Toronto Taryn and Mike met in the famous Drake Hotel in Toronto and were kind enough to share their story with me in a short interview session. I love hearing stories where fate seems to play a part. Mike didn’t want to go out that night and he wasn’t the type of guy that would just walk up to a girl in the middle of the dance floor. But as he said, there was just something about that night. For some reason he felt compe[...]
  • Destination Wedding Video Barcelona | Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor | Admiral De La Font Sitges | Hiram + Marylise

  • It’s a pretty good day when you receive an enquiry requesting a Destination Wedding Video near Barcelona in Spain. Hiram and Marylise had come across Matt and Jo’s Wedding Film when searching for venues and loved our work. We got talking at the end of last summer it transpired that we were both moving from our respective locations to Toronto in the coming months! A touch of fate perhaps? We were actually able to meet in person and chat about their videography needs, rather than doing it all over Skype. It also meant that Marylise could talk to Danielle (who also owns alldolledupstudio.ca) about her hair and makeup and have her trial before the wedding too.  Personally, I love filming weddings in Europe (who doesn’t?!). For one thing, its a great opportunity to stop by London on the way and visit friends and family. But its also a chance to film at some of the most beautiful location[...]
