Elegant & Romantic Langdon Hall Wedding | Jessica & Chris
Jessica and Chris’s elegant Langdon Hall Wedding was one of our first of this crazy 2022 season. And what a way to start. It was a stunning wedding, a beautiful day and very unique. We loved all the creativity that went into planning this wedding. We had a Monique L’huillier weddingdress that provided inspiration for decoration and design, two first looks (!), an abundance of locations for portraits and many many guests who wowed us with their dance moves.
“Wow this is incredible, we just watched it for the first time and were absolutely blown away! Every creative decision you made was brilliant and it was definitely very emotional to experience our wedding day again through this video. We’re definitely going to be sharing this with all our friends and family and look forward to the compliments we (and you) will be receiving. Thank you again for putting all your effort into making this 🙂” Jessica & Chris
An Elegant Langdon Hall Wedding for a Weekend Away from Toronto
Jessica and Chris wanted to create an elegant and romantic atmosphere for their guests helping them to feel like they were on a small getaway from Toronto. Langdon Hall is in Cambridge and has a nice, estate-feel with beautiful gardens, surrounded by the countryside. It’s the perfect venue if you want to keep everything close, whilst giving your guests the freedom to do a little exploring. They’ll be able to amble around the grounds, make use of the spa, play tennis, croquet and of course, enjoy the wonderful cuisine.
Jess and Chris made good use of Langdon’s venues, which can accommodate intimate and larger weddings. They were able to get ready in the guest rooms and bridal suite, which backs onto the gardens. Both took their time, enjoying the experience with their close friends and parents.
When it came to closing a first look location we were spoilt for choice. Along with the amazing photographers 5ive15ifteen, we spent a little time having a scout around various spots and settled on the grass covered courtyard. That gave us enough space to move around, lots of natural backdrops and multiple set-ups for couple and bridal party shots. We then meandered our way through the property and finished up with a second (!) first look in front of the main house before it was time to get ready for the main event.
Jessica and Chris’ ceremony was in the Summer house, an open-aired wood timber pavilion which is perfect for weddings. You get the feel of being outside, with a roof over your head to keep you cool and dry. It was a beautiful, intimate feeling ceremony and we loved hearing Jess and Chris’ emotional vows to each other. It’s a special experience to be able to listen to the story of a relationship, their unique perspectives, experiences and hopes for the future.
After the ceremony, guests stepped out of the summer house straight onto the adjacent lawn to enjoy cocktails and refreshments. They were able to relax and enjoy a few games whilst we whisked Jess and Chris away for a short bonus portrait session (we didn’t have to go far). For the reception guests moved into the Fireside Room; an elegantly appointed space with floor to ceiling windows with a stunning garden view. Rainbow Chan Weddings and Hunt and Gather did an incredible job decorating the space to make it feel romantic and luxurious; a perfect atmosphere for enjoying incredible food and entertaining speeches.
Finally, Jess and Chris rounded off the experience by bring all their guests back into the Summer house for a candle and sparkler-lit first dance. Their choreographed dance flowed with grace and elegance, while they were surrounded by their on-looking guests. What a wonderful way to end the formalities before heading back inside for an incredible party.
Jess’s Beautiful Monique L’huillier Wedding Dress
Now we’re not the kind of people who would pay particular attention to what a couple wear (we’re much more interested in the experience they are having) but Jess’s Monique L’huillier wedding dress definitely caught our attention. It was so unique that Jess decided to base the theme of the wedding off the print design.
Since it tied in so nicely with the gardens at Langdon Hall, Jess wanted to incorporate the colours (pinks, pops of blue, gold), and the motifs (butterflies, flowers) throughout the day. This was done through the invitations, details, menus, wedding favours, welcome sign, florals, and even their wedding cake as well.
By adding just a little creative flair Jess and Chris were able to make their wedding more unique and we loved seeing how it all came together. Rainbow Chan and her team of vendors went beyond all expectations leaving Jess and Chris in awe of their efforts after seeing the final result.
Making the Most of their Langdon Hall Wedding
Jessica and Chris had a wonderful experience a their wedding. You can see from their film how they leaned into the emotions of the day and a ton of fun with their friends and families. It was a packed schedule, with a large bridal party, a tea ceremony, multiple first looks and of course, the rest of the events that you’d expect from a wedding. But it didn’t matter, Jess and Chris ended up enjoying every minute of it. The overall atmosphere that was created by their bridal party and guests made them feel that they were surrounded by love, excitement and happiness the entire day. And we were beyond happy to have been a part of it.
