Hi, I’m Mark, Creative Director at Kismet Creative.

I’m a wedding filmmaker with a passion for crafting immersive films that capture personalities, emotions, details, and sounds — all wrapped in a narrative that feels timeless and authentic.

Filmmaking has been a passion of mine for many years.  My journey began with formal education in sound engineering and a traineeship at the BBC, where I edited news and documentaries. I later wrote, directed and edited trailers, commercials, and independent films. While the technical skills I’ve learnt over the years are invaluable,  I draw my greatest inspiration from my personal life.

I’m lucky that my own journey with my wife Danielle has felt like a storybook romance. My daughter Isla leaves me in awe at her curiosity for the world and pinch myself at how quickly she’s growing up. We know what it means to get married and how you wish you could do it all again. We love our own wedding video. Isla is always enthralled when we put it on the TV and we will always cherish having special moments documented with loved ones who are no longer with us.

 These experiences are a part of me now. Those feelings and emotions fuel my thirst to give my very best to each couple I work with. They give me the perspective and understanding to truly immerse myself in capturing yours and others life-changing events. 

Danielle and I met in 2009 on an island off the coast of Bali. Despite hailing from opposite sides of the Atlantic (I’m from the UK), just ten days together was enough for us to leave our old lives behind and embark on the adventure of a lifetime. We’ve lived in Sydney, London, Vancouver, and now call Toronto home. We were married in Italy, and that experience helped us truly understand the importance of a wedding; a life-defining event that celebrates your journey so far and your commitment to the future.

It’s no surprise then that we both found ourselves working within the same industry, supporting each other in life and business. While I spend many of my summer weekends filming, Danielle leads her own team of makeup artists and hairstylists specializing in bridal beauty. You can see her work at West & Co. Bridal and Beauty . We have a shared commitment to excellence and love for our respective crafts which has made us a trusted team for couples seeking both stunning visuals and flawless bridal beauty.

When we’re not at weddings, we spend our time with our beautiful daughter Isla. You’ll usually find us at our local beach or our favourite sushi restaurant. We love exploring Toronto but will always have a plan simmering away to travel across the world. We’re a trio full of boundless energy, enthusiasm and a thirst for capturing life’s special moments. From Isla’s first few days, to our recent adventures, I’ve been documenting it all, making sure our memories are preserved for the future.

I’m a sentimental type, the kind who loves curling up on the sofa with Danielle, Isla, and our dog Bowie to watch home movies with a bowl of popcorn.  It’s moments like those that I imagine for our clients, years down the road.  That’s why it means so much to me to create films that will bring joy to you and your family for decades to come.
